Creating a line of healthy, ready-to-eat kids meals
Challenge:
For busy families there are few options for healthy, ready-to-eat meals for kids between the ages of 3 and 7 that are easy to prepare and include an entree, vegetables, and dessert. The Kids Organic line of food products was the first entry in the market.
Solution:
Through initial research with an online mothers group, it became clear that products targeting children needed to appeal to both mothers and kids. As a result, Radiant focused on developing a kid-friendly character and packaging that also attracted moms. The line name, Kids Organic, became a simple, memorable brand that communicated the product value.
Result:
Kids Organic is the first line of organic, ready-to-eat frozen meals, targeting busy
families who seek healthy foods for their kids to eat. RadiantBrands developed
the name and visual brand, acquired the URL, built the website, and created
the packaging for the six meals. The launch of the brand in fall of 2007 with
six different meals has received national recognition. RadiantBrands’ vibrant package
design, applied to newly developed steam cooking package technology, has been
recognized with an award from the packaging industry. Kids Organic is now distributed
in Whole Foods Markets nationwide, as well as Molly Stones, Albertsons, Lucky,
and more than 20 other major chains.
